Chapter One helps our corporate partners fulfil their social value commitments

Chapter One's Online Reading Volunteer programme connects schools and families with corporate volunteers. These volunteers spend 30 minutes reading online with the same child each week. From a business's perspective, Chapter One's time-efficient, flexible model for online volunteering enhances a company's employee engagement, whilst fulfilling CSR and social value commitments around education, social mobility and inclusion. For schools Chapter One is an extra pair of hands in the classroom

Chapter One online reading volunteers are sponsored by their employers - our corporate partners. Volunteers use our bespoke app and a phone connection to link to a classroom laptop for a weekly reading session with a pupil who has been selected for the programme by their classroom teacher.
