Having won the bid for the UK City of Culture 2025, the scene is set for Bradford to capitalise on its cultural collateral. This unique opportunity will drive greater participation across the district and put arts, entertainment and musical expression at the heart of all communities. This is the chance for more people and communities in Bradford to tell their story.

Chapter One recently attended the launch of the Bradford District Prospectus - an agenda for action in the city by Business in the Community. The prospectus sets out a vision for Bradford’s future, with key asks from government and businesses to help create a district everyone can be part of, and to give its young people the best start. Leaders from Business in the Community, Bradford Council, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, businesses, educators and the voluntary sector are working together to make life better for people across the region. Chapter One partners Azets, Jacobs, Solenis and AtkinsRéalis are also involved in the initiative.

Chapter One has a waiting list of schools in Bradford and Keighley that want their children to take part in the Online Reading Volunteers Programme. We need more companies to support these schools with volunteers and funding, so do get in touch with our Business Development Manager Sarah Taylor at sarah.taylor@chapterone.org if you think you can help.
